The Canterbury Bankstown Harmony Group has organised a special Interfaith Dinner and Eid Reunion 2016 for the 10th year in conjunction with the Riverwood Community Centre. This year it will be held at the Punchbowl Community Centre, 44 Rossmore Avenue, Punchbowl on the 20th July.
Interfaith leaders from diverse communities will be invited on the night including local Imams, priests and church ministers.
The chair of the Canterbury Bankstown Harmony group, former deputy mayor of Canterbury City Council Karl Saleh said that the 2016 theme for the Interfaith Dinner and Eid Reunion will be “Culture of Mutual Respect”. This event will give the opportunity to work with various communities, learn from each other and share with others the importance of diversity through building bridges of understanding and harmony.
